Final version for DOS - NewViews 1.41b
Released - November 25, 1993
This is the final release of NewViews for DOS. The 1.41b code is stable.
NewViews for DOS (NV1) runs on Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7 and any Windows 32-bit version that Microsoft has produced in the last 20 years. NV1 now runs better than on the original MS-DOS platform.
NV1 can not run directly on Windows XP 64 or Vista 64.
However, using a virtualization solution (DOSBox, VirtualPC, VMWare, whatever) on your 64-bit host and running a legacy operatng system in the child VM is a viable solution.
Updated Procedure Libraries
Since 1993 we have released several procedure library updates.
NV1 uses three types of external Procedure Libraries.
- NV1, the main procedure library, i.e. APPLY, BLKDEL, FILLCOL, GO, GOX, PRTCHKS, PRTINV, etc
- Payroll, current payroll deduction tax tables
- Productivity, seven add on libraries with additional functionality

The initial 1.41b release in 1993 contained Procedure Library NV1 version 10.
An update to the Procedure Library NV1, version 12 was released on February 1, 1999.

We continue to release payroll updates.
